Trustees and Volunteers
Grayshott Concerts is entirely run by a dedicated team of volunteers and trustees who work tirelessly to bring each event to life.
Each Trustee plays a vital role in ensuring the continued success of our concert series and outreach programs, and has a portfolio of particular responsibilities.
We are also so grateful to our team of volunteers who manage ticket sales, liaise with Friends, set up and take down the staging and greet our guests.
Trustees
Jim Miles : Chairman
As well as being the Chair of Grayshott Concerts Jim also House Manages all our concerts, the highlight of which for him is loudly ringing his bell to get you all reseated for the second half! He worked in the arts and leisure industry for 38 years before retiring and enjoys researching William Morris, and Architectural and English History.
Andy Crocker : Artistic Director
Andy and his wife, Viki, first became Friends of Grayshott Concerts 15 years ago. After her sad and untimely death he continued their work as a Trustee, implementing a new booking system and organising a volunteer team for concert tasks. He oversees the staging and organisation of our concerts, and as Artistic Director, he plans the music programme and negotiates costs with performers.
Steve Georgii : Secretary
Steve wears many hats! He is Secretary to the Trustees, author / editor of the concert programmes and consultant on all matters technical relating to staging our concerts. He has a rich background as a live sound and recording engineer for all musical genres internationally. Away from Grayshott Concerts, he is a parish councillor as well as a trustee for the local village hall.
Mike Shorthose : Treasurer
As Treasurer for Grayshott Concerts, Mike balances the books, ensuring that the income from ticket sales, Friends' Memberships, sponsorships and donations balance our outgoings, taking full advantage of any available tax reliefs. He is enthusiastic about the health giving benefits of music and has been closely involved in developing and finding funds for our Outreach programme. Away from Grayshott Concerts and when not engaged in his day job as an aviation consultant, Mike can usually be found listening to music, making cider or fighting with his garden.
Sally Shorthose
Sally looks after the marketing for Grayshott Concerts and is always open to new ideas in this area. She is passionate about bringing quality music to Grayshott and also in developing our Outreach programme. Away from GC, she is a Partner in an International Law Firm, a keen cook, an amateur singer and loves walking with her enormous Bernese Mountain dogs.

Mark has guided and advised charity boards for over twenty years and is also a trustee of the Surrey Wildlife Trust.
